Debbi began her career in the culinary field when she was still in high school. Working both back of the house and front of the house management her real love was cooking. Debbi was inspired to attend culinary school by Chef John Ash, former Culinary Director for Fetzer and Bonterra Vineyards.
After attending culinary school, she went on to manage several kitchens, run her own catering company; provide research and development of recipes as a corporate chef for Melissa’s World Variety Produce and offer personal chef services.
Debbi has taught culinary classes for Williams Sonoma, Bloomingdale’s, Sur la Table, Dacor, Smith and Hawken, Temecula Olive Oil, and Chef Tech Cooking School, as well as several local cookware stores; she’s provided product demonstrations for Staub and Breville cookware. Debbi has appeared on The TV Diner with Mario Martinolli; Food and Dining with Mario and Amy; The Waves L.A.’s Smooth Jazz Sunday Brunch from Spaghettini Restaurant and SLO Cooking with Brenda and Julie Hock.
Debbi has also conducted team-building classes for Roxy, Taco Bell and Verizon Wireless. Debbi hosts several food and wine trips a year to California’s Central Coast where she introduces her guests to local wineries, farms and olive oil producers.
Debbi is an advocate of locally grown produce and promoted sustainability. When she’s not cooking, Debbi spends much of her time in her kitchen garden and reading, culinary mysteries are a favorite.
